Baune story remains the right of hockey tradition: He broke his leg during the Stanley Cup final in 1964 only to return later in the same game and winning goal in extra time the Toronto Maple Leafs Toronto.  Listening attentively in the front row had to tell Richard Scott, another former player with a very different story of her own career short, sharp and full of fight with the New York Rangers, leaving him with a severe concussion in the 25th
There is increasing at very different times and various injuries at work, but there is a link with Bower, Baun, and even Mr. Hockey all in the same room to raise funds for Alzheimer research and contribute to the financing of a new study by the former NHL player brain.
Scott had become one of the first players to join the study to find the curiosity more about why suffering postconcussion symptoms after more than seven years, ended his career.

As Bower and Baun, Scott was playing with an injury, when he fought the New York Islanders tough guy Eric Cairns in December 2003, after a few blows of the great greatest man and the vibration of the penalty area.

Four days earlier, was on the receiving end of a strike captain Mats Sundin Leaf, Scott said a check left him with a concussion, he hid play to continue.
Itsa regretting that decision today, because their symptoms prevent him from even manual labor, including work in the meat industry of family farms in Oro, Ont., North of Toronto.

One of these tools, students will, in cooperation with associations of NHL Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest in Toronto, will preside in the process against the former players and compare their results with the rest of the population.

Some of the previous advantages of entering the process are skeptical that the damage is implemented by health problems in later life, with the likes of Bower, Baun, and other causes at 70 and 80 years of serving the living proof to finally escape the war in a long NHL career intact.

Here, the scientific community comes in.

Baycrest senior scientist Brian Levine said his goal is to sort the data in the coming years and reach full conclusions of playing in the NHL players and the impact on mental health in the long run.

Our goal is really the best or the version closest to the truth as possible,  said Levine. I know there is skepticism [certain players]. Theres also groups who say that there is a link.

Hell Scott expects to have more answers, too.

The charity tournament is the sixth year in Toronto and raised over $ 13,000,000.
